数学建模方法课程简介
《数学建模方法》是面向12BET各专业开设的双语选修课程。通过本课程的学习,员工可了解完整的建模过程,训练建模技能,抽象应用问题,学习解决问题的数学理论、算法、数学软件应用及计算机编程等。本课程教学主要包括:差分方程模型、优化模型、图和网络模型、微分方程模型、排队模型等内容。教学方法上,综合采用课堂授课、课外研讨和问题实践等方式,在传授基本方法和技巧的同时,注重理论与实际的结合,引导员工思考数学与现实之间的关系,培养员工用数学语言描述与解决科学、管理、工程实际问题的能力。
课程的考核要求员工结合现实问题独立思考论文选题,在指定时间内至多三人合作完成一份完整的建模论文,与随堂测验和期末论文一起评定成绩。

Mathematical modeling
"Mathematical modeling" is a bilingual elective course for students in School of Management Science and Engineering. The course is designed to help students understand the modeling process, train fundamental modeling skills, construct appropriate models for practical problem, learn to solve problems using proper mathematical theories, algorithms, software applications and computer programming. The content of the course includes differential equation model, optimization model, and network model, differential equation model, queuing model and etc.. The course is taught through classroom teaching, extracurricular research and practice mode. The goal of the course is to guide students to establish the relationship between theory and practice, cultivating the students' ability to describe and solve practical problems about science, management, and engineering with mathematics language. The assessment requires students to design a mathematical model from practical problems, finish a modeling paper with no more than three partners, pass several in-classes quizzes and complete the final paper independently.
